Bio-fuel is a very important source of renewable energy that got its boost in the last twenty years. Now, when global warming is an important topic in all countries bio-fuel is becoming an extremely marketable good. Main bio-fuel products that „Grudoteka“ sells is wood pellets and briquettes.

Wood pellets

Wood pellets are produced from natural wood waste, that is wood shavings and sawdust which is dried, ground and pressed. For manufacture of wood pellets no glue or chemical additives are used – only 100% timber biomass. Wood pellets have less moisture than firewood so it‘s a more efficient method of heating. They are used in automatic central heating systems or pellet furnaces.

The characteristics of wood pellets supplied by „Grudoteka“:

• Pellet size: from Ø6 mm;
• Energy release: 4,9 kWh/kg (much more than firewood);
• Manufactured according to DIN 51731 Plus certificate;
• Easy to transport and store, longer storage times;
• Organic, doesn‘t harm the environment (almost nil CO2 footprint);
• Premises, boiler and chimney aren‘t contaminated because the pellets don‘t emit smoke.

Wood briquettes

Wood briquettes are an alternative solid fuel manufactured from unprocessed wood waste (for ex. wood shavings). The organic mass is pressed under high pressure and without any added chemicals. This fuel is far more productive if compared to firewood, so the heating of the house costs less. Wood briquettes are used in fireplaces, grills, as a solid fuel in residential homes as well as industrially.

• Various sizes, cylindrical, with or without hole, blocked;
• Moisture <5%;
• High caloric content 4,7-5,1 kWh/kg;
• Complies to DIN 51731 quality certificate;
